Why do we offer?
We make offerings in Buddhism as a meaningful way to cultivate generosity, gratitude, and compassion within ourselves. By making an offering, we express respect and devotion to the Buddha and the teachings.

Offerings are not made because the Buddha needs them, but the act of giving helps us let go of attachment and develop positive qualities that are essential on the spiritual path. Each offering is an opportunity to accumulate merit, purify our minds, and create positive conditions for ourselves and others.
